Business Opportunity - New production facility likely to have testing equipment high on its shopping list

The new manufacturing facility that Faurecia Emission Control Technologies (FECT) (France) plans to build in Ningbo, Zhejiang province with its partner Ningbo Yuanjing Auto Part Co. (宁波远景汽车零部件有限公司) will need a wide range of sophisticated testing equipment, according to a number of China-based sector sources. These will include engine and dynamo test benches, uni-axial and biaxial test beds, noise, vibration and acoustic shock test platforms, and data acquisition equipment.

FECT, which is a subsidiary of France-based Faurecia, has yet to formulate any plans to equip the facility, said its Shanghai-based executive assistant, Joanne Dai. She said that its construction was scheduled to be completed by May, 2014.
