Air Clean Up
A Systematic Solution for BTEX Monitoring
Jun 04 2014
Camsco’s (USA) BTEX Capture System is our solution to the US EPA’s ongoing effort to improve the monitoring of VOC emissions from refineries.
Air monitoring at the fenceline can provide a direct measure of the time-averaged concentrations of VOC emissions. Sorbent tubes, as passive air samplers, are well established for monitoring BTEX.
Camsco’s BTEX Capture System addresses many fundamental concerns related to fenceline monitoring, and provides a solution that is scientifically sound, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective. Some features include: A passive sampling protocol that involves no electronics, no human attendance and no downtime; Weatherproof shelter and bug/dust proof passive sampling caps; Easy to setup and detach, portable, and requires only minimum training to operate; Error-proof identification: high quality sorbent tubes with unique COGNI system; Flexible, continuous sampling duration from days to weeks; Sampling cost in single-digit US dollars per collection, thanks to reusable media; and several third-party labs capable of doing the analysis once sample is collected.
Components of the BTEX Capture System are reusable, and can be ordered either individually or as a package: Tube shelter with fenceline mounting fixtures; Conditioned thermal desorption tube with sorbents specific for BTEX; Brass compression caps for storage and diffusive sampling caps for capture; an instruction manual and application note are available.
