£750k Fund Raising Completed and Strategic Alliance Signed with CIWM

Sep 12 2013

Revise Ltd (UK), which has developed the ‘Cloud Sustainability’ software platform, is delighted to announce that it has successfully completed a £750,000 fund raising exercise and signed a strategic alliance with the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (“CIWM”).

CIWM participated in the funding round alongside new investor Parkwalk Advisors who led the round and existing investor IP Group plc. The funds raised will support continued software development and sales infrastructure.

Alastair Kilgour, Partner at Parkwalk Advisors, said: “We are very pleased to have closed this investment. We believe Cloud Sustainability has developed a unique product that will allow organisations who subscribe to demonstrate compliance to their regulators, particularly in the field of waste and resource management. The corporate burden in this field is becoming increasingly onerous, as legislators constantly amend and update legislation, and Cloud Sustainability has a cost effective and efficient solution to these issues.”

In addition to the investment round, Revise also signed a 10 year deal with CIWM to develop a comprehensive waste and resource management e-learning offering for 7,000 CIWM members and a wider industry audience.

Developed to revolutionise the way sustainability knowledge and training is delivered, Revise’s Cloud Sustainability platform, www.cloudsustainability.com, helps organisations of any scale to learn about sustainability, comply with complex legislation, and improve performance at a fraction of the traditional cost. It will be showcased at CIWM’s stand 20H29 – G28 at the Resource Efficiency and Waste Management Solutions conference at Birmingham’s NEC from 10-12 September.

Daniel Botterill, CEO of Revise, said: “The caliber of the investors participating in the round provides a strong indication that we are moving in the right direction with a novel product suite in a rapidly growing industry. We are delighted to have CIWM on board, both as an investor and a commercial partner. Over the coming months we will be releasing a range of software and eLearning tools through out partnership. We are also looking forward to CIWM’s input and to help us evolve our pioneering Waste Expert software system, which we are thrilled to be demonstrating over the course of the RWM exhibition.”

Cloud Sustainability is already being used by large public and private sector organisations in the healthcare, education, facilities management and waste management sectors including Cambridge University Hospitals (Addenbrooke’s Hospital), the London School of Economics, Sodexo and AmeyCespa and Tradebe.

Steve Lee, CIWM’s Chief Executive, said: "As well as strengthening CIWM's investment portfolio, this strategic alliance positions the Institution at the cutting edge of 'smart' learning, and will enable us to offer the sector the very latest in online training and support. Over the coming months we will be announcing some exciting new developments through our partnership with Revise & the Cloud Sustainability platform.”
