Environmental technology supplier Tecam Group (Spain) has been awarded the first project worldwide for NORM (Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material) waste incineration. The project has been commissioned by Oil & Gas company Takreer (ADNOC) and subcontracted by EPC Intecsa Industrial.
Under the terms of the agreement, Tecam Group will supply Intecsa Industrial with the engineering and procurement management of an incineration plant for NORM waste together with a dry flue gas treatment system, to be installed at Takreer plant in Ruwais, approx. 250 km west of Abu Dhabi city, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

"We are excited to accept the challenge of developing this high demanding project, unique in its kind, which is called to become a project reference worldwide in the Oil & Gas industry” said Mr. Borja Maestro, Tecam Group Technical Director.
Upon completion of the project in June 2016, this will be the first project of its kind worldwide, enabling Takreer to make their plant healthier and safer for workers and the environment thanks to Tecam Group environmental technology for NORM waste incineration.
