Landia move in to The White House

Jul 09 2013

The White House School in Whitchurch, Shropshire is benefitting from the installation of new pumping equipment from its near neighbour, Landia (UK).

A 4kW 1500rpm DG Chopper Pump from Landia, which has been retrofitted to an existing guide rail system, now pumps raw unscreened sewage from a 3m deep sump 400m, via 100mm of pipework to the sewer main.

Terry Cieselski from TKC Developments, who own and operate the independent primary school site, commented: “Landia’s equipment is first-class and extremely reliable. As a company we’ve also found Landia highly professional to deal with, from the design to installation and after sales service. They set a very good example”.

The DG Chopper Pump from Landia, which has high efficiency motors, is designed so that the pump casing and the impeller (together with the knife system) ensure that solids can be pumped without blockages or breakdowns.

The new installation at The White House School in Whitchurch follows the successful work also carried out by Landia at the nearby Dearnford visitor attraction, where new pumps have significantly improved the management of the site’s effluent treatment plant balancing tank.

Speaking for Landia, Sales Manager Paul Davies said: “We sell our pumps and mixers all over the world but are very proud of our loyal local customer base right here in Whitchurch and throughout Shropshire, where there is a strong belief in investing in top quality products that last, as well as decent back-up service”.
