Repeat Operations & Maintenance Order for Reliance Industries' Hazira Demineralisation Plant

Aquatech (USA), a global specialist in water purification technology for industrial and infrastructure markets, have announced the extension for the third time to provide operating services for a boiler feed water treatment plant at Reliance Industries Limited's PTA (purified terephthalic acid) manufacturing unit in Hazira, Gujarat, India.

The aim of the contract is for Aquatech to provide enhanced water production from the demineralisation plant. Aquatech will provide a 3rd stage reverse osmosis (RO) unit to increase the overall recovery of the treatment system by 10% and achieve a proportional reduction in operating cost. This is a significant gain for the client considering their increased water needs.

Aquatech has been providing operations and maintenance (O & M) services for this plant for more than three years. The plant uptime is more than 98%, and the specified water quality and quantity have been consistently achieved.

Wex Technologies, an Aquatech group company, is also providing chemical treatment services at this site for its cooling tower. Aquatech, in alliance with Wex, is uniquely positioned in the market by providing Integrated Water Services to its industrial clients.
