Mobile Landfill Treatment Systems that Deliver Significant Cost Savings
Jul 15 2015
Axium Process (UK), filtration specialists, have developed a customisable mobile treatment system for landfill leachate which is providing significant benefits and cost savings when compared to more traditional treatment technologies such as Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) or Anaerobic Digestion.
As well as enabling landfill operations to comply with Environmental Agency and local water discharge requirements, Axium’s technology ensures year round plant operation with minimal manual intervention, significantly reduced chemical and leachate disposal costs and only requires a minimum of cleaning time.
The system, which has been designed with a compact footprint is normally installed in standard shipping containers to enable easy relocation and is designed to be fully automatic using state of the art PLC programming to maintain the system within nominal operating limits. Axium Process offers a Real Time Support Package to its customers providing full scale live data logging and monitoring as well as remote access if required.
The company specialises in tailoring its leachate treatment technology to suit individual site requirements and can conduct pilot trials either at its Swansea manufacturing site or at its customers’ sites on actual feed so that real data can be used to ensure that Axiums’ engineers can design and build a system that will meet all the parameters and conditions specified by the customer.
