New Wave of Capabilities and Products Unveiled at IWEX 2013

Castings Services Group (UK), specialist suppliers of quality civil engineering products will be attending IWEX 2013, one of the most accredited and largest forums in the country, for water organisations and utilities companies, held at NEC Birmingham, 16-18 April and part of Sustainability Live.

Exhibiting on stand B41, this is CSG’s fourth year at the show and will be showcasing new developments, capabilities and an extended product portfolio in their Process Valve and Actuation Division, serving both the Water and Energy from Waste arenas.

Casting Services Group (CSG) has been supplying the dirty water industry for decades, however they have recently secured WRAS approval on their range of butterfly valves from the UK’s Water Industry Fittings Approval Scheme, which means they are now in a position to supply potable water applications across all UK water PLCs, opening up a new market and business development opportunities.

CSG’s portfolio of high performance butterfly valves is the product of decades of expertise and technical innovation. The advanced design valves are vulcanised with a bonded liner to reduce maintenance, enhance high flow performance, increase life expectancy and consequently lower running costs once fitted.

The concentric butterfly valve range has demonstrated a one hundred percent track record for shut off between disc and liner on all sizes, and across varying applications including; clean water, gas, air and powder.

In the Energy from Waste arena, CSG has been quick to react to increasing pressure on organisations to become more energy efficient, by developing a range of engineered solutions and products to harness energy from waste.

One of the most significant renewable technologies in addressing Britain’s international commitments to address climate change is that of Anaerobic Digestion, and in the last five years Advanced Anaerobic Digestion, which recovers significant quantities of energy from waste.

CSG’s new Process Valve and Actuation Division can supply valves equipped to handle efficiently each stage of the AAD process including: robust Orbinox bi-directional knife valves designed to cope with the raw dense waste; Mueller eccentric plug valves which manage the flow through the pipes; through to butterfly valves which will effectively adjust levels of gas.

Roger Fulton, Managing Director CSG commented: “It is amazing how far CSG as a company has come since unveiling our new Process Valve and Actuation Division at the show last year. Through investment in new technologies and expertise, the business has gone from strength to strength and more than doubled in turnover in the last six months, with new business coming from both the water and the energy from waste industries. We look forward to showcasing our new capabilities and products for 2013.”
