Wastewater and Sewage Pumps

Nov 30 2012

DAB Pumps (Italy) manufacture a wide range of electric driven water pumps including submersible drainage and sewage pumps as well as large booster and pressurisation sets with the new MCE inverters.

DAB offer the DIG 5500 pump, ideal for the removal of drainage water in construction sites, open mines and quarries or any large de-watering application. The DAB DIG range is designed for heavy dredging of abrasive clean and grey water. Thanks to the durable construction materials used and their reliability, these pumps can work with harsh and abrasive liquids containing solids with maximum dimensions of up to 6mm. The pumps have a dry-type asynchronous sealed motor which is cooled by the pumped liquid. The rotor is mounted on oversized greased sealed-for-life double ball bearings to ensure silent running and long product life cycle. Single phase versions come with integral capacitor. These pumps are available with cast iron or stainless steel impellers to suit all applications. The whole range is constructed in compliance with CEI 2-3CEI 61-69 (EN 60335-2-41) standards.

The Feka VS 1200 M and Feka 600 SV are also popular DAB submersible products. The former has a vortex impeller allowing it to pump sewer and wastewater containing solids up to 50mm. The latter, Feka 600 SV is unique due to its stainless steel pump shaft. The more recent addition to the submersible range is the DAB Novair 600. This aerator provides a unique solution for the oxygenation of domestic wastewater treatment plants. It is compact, reliable and its easy plug and play cable gland allows you to remove the aerator without dismantling the whole system.

DAB's Italian wastewater product specialist Riccardo Sauro emphasises the importance of continuous development of efficiency and reduction of power consumption within DAB’s various product segments. He states ‘improving the hydraulics and motors of our pumps is at the top of DAB’s agenda. The next few years will be crucial for new technology and focusing on producing pumps which comply with new European standards.’
