Two New Coagulants for Reducing Turbidity and TOC Introduced to Product Line
May 23 2015
GE (USA) is pleased to announce the release of two new coagulants to its KlarAid product line, KlarAid CDP2727 and CDP2724. These coagulants are custom designed blends of one of GE’s high molecular weight organic coagulants and a high-basicity aluminum coagulant.
These new custom designed products provide: The convenience of a single container chemical treatment solution, Simplified materials management and lower costs, Lower turbidities and TOC concentrations when clarifying low turbidity raw water, Larger and faster-settling floc than is produced when treating with an inorganic coagulant alone, and Less sludge is produced when treating with an inorganic coagulant alone and lower sludge disposal costs.
Through extensive jar testing, KlarAid CDP2727 and CDP2724 have shown that they are capable of reducing the turbidity and TOC in low turbidity raw water to levels less than other single-container products previously offered by GE. KlarAid CDP2727 is the concentrated product whereas CDP2724 is a diluted version that may be a convenient solution in circumstances where low volumes and dosages are proven effective. These products can be used alone or in conjunction with anionic flocculants.
In addition to raw water treatment these products should be screened in applications where coagulants are used.
