New Shaftless Spiral Conveyor
Jun 17 2011
Hydro International, is launching the new MEVA Shaftless Spiral Conveyor in the UK, offering WwTW operators a new low-power, low-maintenance solution for conveying screenings and dewatered sludge.
Innovative new design features enable the MEVA XC to convey large capacities of screenings or sludge at low speeds, therefore achieving high levels of energy efficiency and low wear. The conveyor’s rigid octagonal shape and shaftless spiral design enable it to cope effortlessly with snagging or resistant materials.
The MEVA XC range is being made available to UK WwTW operators for the first time, following Hydro’s appointment as UK distributor of MEVA products by the manufacturer, Nordic Water AB of Sweden.
Assembled on site without the need for welding, MEVA XC Conveying systems can be configured for horizontal, vertical or angular conveying with an inclination of up to 45% with a standard trough, or 90% with a vertical system. The modular design enables complete systems to be installed with direct transfer from one conveyor to another, and there is an option to fit draining sections for solids removal applications.
The MEVA XC has a unique lid design with a low inlet height which offers the opportunity for low discharge heights for screenings. The trough is protected by a polymer lining which can be replaced without the need for welding.
