New Pumps for Pumping Unpurified Wastewater
Nov 19 2010
ITT Water & Wastewater launch its new D 8000 and D 8200 series stainless-steel and cast-iron pumps. They unite proven, original Robot Vortex impeller and robust, efficient Flygt motors.
The D 8000 stainless-steel pumps that emerged from the Robot RW-R series are used for applications in mining, power plants and landfill sites and in the steel, paper and chemicals industries. They are particularly suited for corrosive applications with solids content. Although the materials that come into contact with the pumping medium are highly resistant, the impeller and hydraulics technology enables a high level of solid-substance transport. This minimises the risk of breakdowns and reduces operating costs as well. The Flygt D 8000 achieves a maximum pumping level of 36 metres and a pumping output of up to 70 litres/second at a nominal motor output range of 1.5 kW to 13 kW. It is available in materials 1.4401 (AISI 316) and 1.4460 (AISI 329).
The cast-iron variant, series number D 8200, was specially designed for pumping unpurified wastewater. Many applications focus on pumping after large ball passages. This requirement is met by the new D 8200 Vortex impeller series. In combination with robust Flygt motors and approved Robot hydraulics, ITT Water & Wastewater has successfully developed an equally outstanding solution for this output range: an optimal product extension in the lower output range. The Flygt D 8200 achieves a maximum pumping level of 32 metres and a pumping output
of up to 50 litres/second at a nominal motor output range of 1.5 kW to 7.5 kW. It is available in standard and explosion-proof designs.
