New Video Highlights Reverse Osmosis Installations

Koch Membrane Systems (KMS) has released a video showcasing its large area MegaMagnum® spiral reverse osmosis (RO) elements. The video displays key installations for MegaMagnum elements, from its flagship Bundamba, Australia, site to its newest seawater installation at a copper-gold mine in Chile. Go to http://www.kochmembrane.com/videos/mm_new.html to view the video.

“Large diameter elements are quickly becoming the new standard in RO. Our hope is that this video provides companies insight into our key installations and the economic benefits these elements offer compared to older 8-inch elements. Similarly, KMS has developed cost-effective pressure vessels to meet the requirements of seawater and brackish, allowing companies the ability to source both large diameter elements and vessels from one supplier,” says John Morrison, senior vice president of sales and marketing for KMS.

The video demonstrates the large diameter RO system’s economic benefits and explains why more engineering firms are considering these elements for brackish and seawater RO projects. It also introduces how small capacity plants can benefit from large diameter RO elements and shows how the MegaMagnum elements save space and reduce shipping and installation costs.
While the MegaMagnum elements are heavier and larger than the standard, the video captures how KMS has made loading and unloading of MegaMagnum elements safe and easy with its new element loader.
