Happiness is Having a Longer Tube for Pumps

The polypropylene version of the established range of Finish Thompson EF series drum emptying pumps is now available with the option of a longer tube length designed specifically to work with larger IBC’s and carboys which typically hold volumes up to 1250 litres (330 gallons). Available from pumping specialists MICHAEL SMITH ENGINEERS (UK) these longer tube sets measure 137 cm (54”) and can be coupled to any of range of EF Series air and electric motors.

Drum or barrel emptying pumps are acknowledged as being the ideal alternative to hand pumps for the safe and efficient transfer of acids, chemicals and corrosives from tanks, drums and carboys and the EF Series is claimed to be the most competitively priced and highest quality powered drum pump in its class.

EF Series sealless pumps are designed for light to medium duty and are capable of delivering flow rates up to 64 lit/min at discharge pressures up to 6.1 metres. In addition to the longer 137 cm tube, EF pumps can also be supplied in a tube lengths to suit most popular drum and tanks sizes, for example 40cm, 70 cm, 100 cm and 120 cm.

The EF 137 cm tubes are available in standard polypropylene construction with a polypropylene outer tube, 316 stainless steel shaft, PTFE vapour seal and FKM O-rings.

As well as the polypropylene tube set, the EF series is also available in a stainless steel build as well as a pure PVDF/polypropylene construction. Other features of the EF Series include; dual speed, adjustable, continuous duty electric or air motors which have CSA or CE certifications. The motors are also interchangeable with any tube selection.
