Innovative Sludge Reduction Technologies for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants

PMC BioTec Company (PMCB) announced the successful ongoing operation of its patented technology (AFCSM Process) to eliminate or dramatically reduce the amount of sludge disposed from Wastewater Treatment Plant operations. PMC BioTec Company is an American Environmental Technology firm with offices in Boston and Kansas City, with headquarters near Philadelphia, USA. PMCB’s patented engineered technologies are operating in plants around the world, including a large facility in Singapore, the UK, and schemes most recently operating in China (Chemical Plant wastewater treatment) and in the USA (municipal wastewater treatment)

The amount of waste sludge produced by conventional treatment facilities is staggering – many thousands of tonnes per day. Conventional solutions are neither “Green” nor sustainable: Incineration is expensive and Landfill Disposal is both undesirable and increasingly restricted by European Regulations. A new alternative is timely and necessary: simply Stop Making Sludge!   The AFCSM Process can be applied for treatment of both municipal waste sludge and industrial wastewater. The high-strength organic waste streams typical in pharmaceutical, food processing and chemical manufacturing plants can be cleansed in a process that: requires only 20% of the land area compared to conventional technologies; eliminates treatment and disposal of residual biosolids; provides operational cost reductions of 30% to 60% of conventional processes; contains no high-pressure vessels not exotic technology and is easily operated.
