Actuation Solutions Shown at ACHEMA

SIPOS Aktorik (Germany) displayed its specialism in electric actuation at ACHEMA 2012. Expertise automating valves for supporting services for the chemical industry includes commissioning capability for steam generation, industrial power plant, water supply and wastewater treatment applications.

Having previously been part of Siemens, SIPOS is an engineering-led organisation. Skilled in actuator technology advancements, and with a strong focus on customer support, the company has an established track record aiding process control applications.

A reputation for pioneering actuation advancements is backed by a core range of actuators for general valve automation applications. On display were the SIPOS HiMod extreme precision actuator range. Offering advanced flexibility and accuracy, HiMod actuators support the most challenging valve control requirements. Sitting within a portfolio of specialist SIPOS variable speed and standard actuators, the product provides high end sophisticated technology with long life components backed by a five year warranty for motor and gearing.

The SIPOS 5 Flash range of rotary, linear and part-turn actuators were also featured in ECOTRON and PROFITRON versions.

Capability in real-time distributed control is also confirmed by SIPOS at ACHEMA with the company’s SIMA master station. Providing intelligent fieldbus-based automation, the master station supports over 200 electric actuators to assist large scale actuator installations.

The company’s established SIPOS 5 Flash electric actuator, supplied for 12 years, is the only product to feature an integrated frequency converter – as a result, SIPOS’ expertise in sophisticated actuation technology is widely acknowledged.
