CEM MIDDLE EAST
Apr 08 2025 - Apr 10 2025
The CEM Middle East Conference and Exhibition on Emissions and Air Quality Monitoring will be taking place in Bahrain on the 8th-10th April 2025 at the Gulf Hotel and Convention Centre in Manama. Following on from the successful series of CEM Events that have been run in Europe since 1997, CEM Middle East will focus on air and emission monitoring solutions needed by industry and environmental regulators in the Middle East and surrounding regions. The Middle East is home to major industries that contribute to air emissions, impacting both the environment and public health. The oil and gas sector, being the dominant industry, releases significant amounts of greenhouse gases, sulphur dioxide, and volatile organic compounds during extraction, refining, and distribution. Power generation in the region is heavily reliant on fossil fuels which emit pollutants such as nitrogen oxides and particulate matter. The region's booming construction and manufacturing industries produce airborne pollutants such as cement dust, sulphur oxides, and heavy metals. The release of greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide and methane, contribute to global warming and climate change, local air quality is in the region is also affected by the emission of pollutants such as sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, which can lead to the formation of smog and acid rain, causing respiratory and cardiovascular health issues. Delegates and visitors attending CEM Middle East will have the opportunity to gain invaluable insights into the latest technologies, products, and solutions for monitoring and measuring industrial emissions and air quality. The conference technical program will reflect the growing urgency of environmental sustainability and Air Monitoring solutions in the region.
