Tailor-made water treatment systems

Jun 15 2009

Compact design, maximum variability and top-quality technology are the hallmarks of the Septron Line 100-300. With this addition to the existing product range, the Christ Water Technology Group (Germany) offers a new, individual solution, ready for connection and use, for tailor-made water treatment.

The modular design of this product line permits the system components to be assembled to meet individual requirements. The units for electrodeionisation (EDI) and reverse osmosis (RO) can be combined and positioned individually. The units are available in two versions: the pre-qualified VAL version complies with the particularly high requirements of the pharmaceutical industry and the Purified Water it produces by far exceeds the specifications of the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.) and the American Pharmacopoeia (USP). Extremely high microbiological purity is ensured by the special connection technology with no dead legs. The version PRO, in contrast, is intended for use in general industrial applications and produces ultrapure water which is used, for example, for rinsing purposes in the production of solar-cells and printed circuit boards. Both versions are equipped as standard with a Siemens PLC controller with 12“ touchscreen display for process visualisation. The use of the operating system WIN CC flexible makes operation of the systems very easy. Furthermore, the systems are optionally available with an integrated audit-trail function and a data recorder to permit perfect traceability of all events and interventions and for recording of all operational data in accordance with 21 CFR. These functions, together with four password levels ensure maximum process and quality assurance.   The models of the existing Septron Line have a maximum pure-water output of 2,000 l/h. The models of the new product line, in contrast, can produce between 3,000 and 9,000 l/h and meet the highest quality requirements. Existing systems can be expanded easily at any time by adding further units. The series concept guarantees fast availability and commissioning of the units. In addition, the compact design of the units permits space-saving installation on a floor area of only 2.6 m2. This, in turn, permits a high level of flexibility when planning the system and extremely economical operation.
