Ultrasonic algae control system
Apr 09 2011
LG Sound is a leading international manufacturer of innovative ultrasonic algae control systems. The LG Sonic® controls algae and reduces the formation of biofilm and some other micro-organisms in lakes, ponds, irrigation reservoirs, pools and all other situations where water is stored.
These highly reliable, efficient and safe systems have been found and developed by the Dutch company LG Sound after 2 years of cooperation with several European universities in a 1,5 million European project. The LG Sonic® technology controls algae, biofilm and some types of bacteria by sending ultrasonic sound waves of several specific frequencies into the water, which control the algae by resonance and sound pressure.
Where can the LG Sonic® technology be used?
More then 8.000 LG Sonic® devices have been installed in 48 countries worldwide. Furthermore, the LG Sonic® technology has proven its effectiveness in many different applications and has installations in cooling towers, wastewater treatment plants, fish farms, water storage, drinking water, natural lakes and ponds, rivers, harbours, marina’s, koi ponds and (natural)swimming pools.
The LG Sonic® products are available in different ranges, all with a low power consumption between 7 and 16 W and are capable to operate on solar power, 220 and 110 Volts. One unit can treat water reservoirs up to 600 feet (186 m) in length. Multiple units for any size you require. The certified scientists working for LG Sound can advise on the ideal water treatment for every application
