Mobile Water Treatment Offers Maximum Flexibility for Mining Operations

Degrémont (France) was awarded its first mobile water treatment contract in Latin America by Chilean mining company SCM Minera Lumina Copper Chile, a company owned by Pan Pacific Copper and Mitsui Bussan Copper Investment & Co. Ltd.
The contract consists of an OMOBILE Reverse Osmosis unit to treat 50m3/h with a flexible solution including fast delivery, an adjustable duration to fit the client needs, maintenance and operational support with 1 supervisor and 4 operators 24/7 on site. The objective of the mobile solution is to treat the water in compliance with the Chilean regulations before discharge. Lumina Copper owns and operates the Caserones copper-molybdenum project in Chile's northern region.
Degrémont’s mobile services are known under the brand name OMOBILE, providing rental water treatment units & services, all over the world. Opened recently, the new OMOBILE platform in the Sao Paulo region (Brazil) guarantees Latin America clients with fast delivery and immediate implementation. The units are available on a short, medium or long-term basis. This enables industrials from different sectors to produce high quality water and treat wastewater, with no capital investment and without the challenges involved in building their own water treatment plant. The brand new platform provides filtration units (pre-treatment), reverse osmosis and polishing using resins for demineralised water production, for flow rates of 5 m³/h and more. These high performance units provide a high quality water (lower than 0,1μs/cm) and all the OMOBILE services are certified ISO 90001, the guarantee of a structured and a high performing management system.
