Cutting Costs without Cutting Corners
Feb 05 2010
With the current economic climate causing a slow down in most industries, many manufacturers are looking at ways to reduce expenditures without compromising production. To this end, facilities are more likely to repair, improve and maintain existing plant equipment. Spooner Industries, a world leader in forced convection technology, has developed a Technical Services Division to help customers do just that. Complimenting the company’s long established capabilities in the design and manufacture of industrial drying, cooling, curing and baking machinery, the new division allows customers to take full advantage of repair, service and support systems that will optimize reliability, reduce downtime, improve energy efficiency and decrease
operating costs.
Spooner’s Sales & Marketing Director, Steve Newell said, “With the present economic downturn it makes sense to repair and maintain existing equipment. The Technical Services Division has been developed by our team of specialist engineers to ensure you achieve optimum efficiency from all your process machinery.” In addition to the Technical Services Division, Spooner recently added a full range of energy recovery and air pollution control products. The range, being manufactured under the Spooner Anguil name, is the result of a partnership formed between Spooner Industries and US based Anguil Environmental Systems for whom Spooner is the European licensee. Anguil has over 30 years of experience providing Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) and Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAP) abatement technologies to companies around the world.
The Environmental Systems product range includes thermal and catalytic oxidisers, heat exchangers, energy recovery systems and pollution abatement equipment for chlorinated emissions. These products compliment Spooner’s well established range of forced air convection equipment. Anguil has a strong reputation and state of the art air pollution control technologies. The partnership allows Spooner to sell and manufacture Anguil oxidiser equipment in-house, offering industrial facilities throughout Europe a single source solution for their dryer, oven and air pollution control needs. Steve Newell from Spooner Industries, together with Rich Grzanka from Anguil will be available on stand 219, hall 5 of Pollutec Horizons in Paris this December.
