Exhibitors Can Benefit from Chinese Government’s Annual Allocation of RMB 400 Billion for Water Resource Development

Aug 03 2011

Water Expo China + Water Membrane China, the only water business show sponsored by China’s Ministry of Water Resources and approved by the Ministry of Commerce, will be held at the China National Convention Center, Beijing, China from 13 – 15 October 2011. The show is co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, the Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society (CHES) and the Membrane Industry Association of China (MIAC).

This year’s show is expected to attract a record number of exhibitors following the Chinese government’s announcement that under its 2011 Number One Central Document for water resource development, it will invest RMB 400 billion each year for the next 10 years. The funds will be allocated to domestic and foreign companies to accelerate and support the development of water conservation through new water policy initiatives, reforms, development and management.

Mr Jason Cao, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt in China said: “This investment allocation presents a huge range of opportunities for exhibitors attending Water Expo China + Water Membrane China as they know that this is the only platform in China approved by the Ministry of Water Resources, offering them the opportunity to communicate with key government decision makers.”

Mr Li ZanTang, Secretary General of CHES added: “With their experience and expertise, companies taking part in the show can take advantage of China’s huge water market potential and help the country to quickly move forward with its water reforms and development as outlined in the Number One Central Document.”

Joining the 2011 show as a new co-organiser, Mr You Jinde, Secretary General, MIAC remarked: “The central government considers water resources to be a strategic factor for China’s economic, ecological and national security. The Number One Central Document is the first to solely focus on water conservation reform and development. This is very much welcomed by local and international companies associated with the membrane industry.”
