Grontmij Wins New Contract Award with Yorkshire Water

With joint venture partners Morgan Est, Grontmij has secured a contract with Yorkshire Water covering the next Asset Management Period. Yorkshire Water manages the collection, treatment and distribution of water in Yorkshire, supplying around 1.24 billion litres of drinking water. The overall assignment is worth € 92 million with an anticipated fee turnover for Grontmij of € 5.7 million.
Working with Yorkshire Water, the team will carry out improvement works to clean and waste water treatment works in batches across the region. The scope includes all design- and consultancy activities for the civil, water process, mechanical and electrical engineering works throughout the value chain; from investigation and feasibility through to commissioning and handover. Work will commence in April 2010.
