New Centralised Laboratory Facilities for Europe and Asia
Dec 03 2012
Modern Water (UK), the owner of leading water technologies for the production of fresh water and monitoring of water quality, today officially opened its new offices and laboratory facilities in Cambridge in the United Kingdom.
With Modern Water’s expanding team both in the UK and abroad it was necessary to have a dedicated centre for technology development and when doing this it made sense to relocate to Cambridge which is a core technology centre in the UK.
Cambridge is now the central hub for Modern Water’s laboratory requirements across Europe and Asia. Modern Water’s monitoring and desalination divisions each have a separate laboratory at the new site. Aguacure, the Company’s pioneering chemical-free water and wastewater treatment system, and other technologies that Modern Water is currently developing will also be situated in the same building.
The offices and laboratory are in the Cambridge Science Park which is internationally renowned for innovation and excellence. The Science Park was established by Trinity College Cambridge and is Europe’s longest-serving and largest centre for commercial research and development.
Modern Water’s Chief Executive, Simon Humphrey today commented, “The new facilities we are officially opening today will allow us to fully support the continued growth of Modern Water and provide the opportunity for enhanced customer service across our ever expanding product range. Locating all our European research and development in one location provides the opportunity for cross fertilisation of ideas across the whole business.”
