Mott MacDonald Appoints new Practice Manager for Water and Environment
Sep 02 2013
Mott MacDonald (UK) has appointed Mark Enzer as its new Group practice manager for water and environment. Mark replaces Mike H Blackburn, who has retired from the consultancy after 35 years of service.
Mark has spent the last year driving a technical delivery change programme in the consultancy’s water and environment business, designed to advance best practice, knowledge sharing and efficiency improvements. Prior to this he was seconded to UK water company Anglian Water as engineering manager for its industry-leading @one Alliance. Mark was responsible for the technical output on a £1 billion programme, which majored on innovation to meet capital efficiency targets and sustainable solutions to meet stringent embodied carbon targets.
As Group practice manager, Mark will initially focus on expanding existing collaborative networks and advancing sector plans. He will draw on his experience of transformational change in infrastructure engineering, including lean principles and processes, low-carbon sustainable solutions, product-based delivery and design for manufacture and assembly.
Keith Howells, chairman of Mott MacDonald, said: “Mark will support our water and environment team as they build new business, contribute to the quality of project delivery and customer service and encourage collaboration across our core business sectors. Mike has left a robust legacy for Mark to build on as he advances this vital role within our organisation.”
Mark, who has been part of Mott MacDonald for 26 years, is a chartered engineer and scientist. He is a fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers as well as a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
