Israel Government Pledges Support for Water Expo China with a Large National Pavilion

The Israeli government has shown it`s support for Water Expo China, by pledging to organise a large Israeli Pavilion at the show, scheduled from 10 - 13 November 2008 in Beijing. During a meeting on 14 January 2008 in Beijing, Mr. Hu Siyi, Vice Minister of Water Resources, PR China, and Mr. Eliyahu Yishai, Deputy Prime Minister of Israel and
Minister of Industry, Trade and Labour, made a consensus on the need for a large Israeli presence at the show. The Israeli Pavilion at Water Expo China will showcase Israel`s advanced technologies and experiences regarding water resources management, water conservation, irrigation,
    waster-water treatment and seawater desalination.
"We hope that through participation at Water Expo China, we will be able to demonstrate the state-of-art solutions and technologies in the
water sector that Israel has pioneered," says Mr. Oded Arbel, Trade Representative to China from the Embassy of Israel. "Innovative and cost-effective solutions of creating, securing, saving, treating and reusing of water have played a major role in the development of Israel throughout the years. The Israeli water technology industry is mature and willing to share with China its know-how and join hand-in-hand to combat the local and global water challenges".
