Renewable Energy Solutions Distributor Announces Partnership with US Turbine Manufacturer

One of the UK’s largest renewable energy solutions distributor, Flogas Renewables, has agreed a distribution partnership with US based wind turbine manufacturer Northern Power Systems, it was announced today. 

The deal marks a significant milestone for newly formed Flogas Renewables, which recently incorporated Leicester based UFW Ltd.

Enabling customers and locally based sales agents across the UK to access state-of-the-art wind turbines, Flogas Renewables Business Development Manager, David Taylor, said the partnership would allow the business to ‘offer the Northern Power platform to its existing, vast customer base’, as well as promote the benefits of wind turbines to new customers.

Manufacturing the leading 100kw wind turbine available in Britain, Northern Power Systems recently announced that it had listed on the Toronto stock exchange. Its innovative range of wind turbines are known for their low maintenance, reliability, high yield, as well as their suitability to work across diverse landscapes and business uses. 

The products boast a series of unique features including: Permanent Direct Drive technology, 24x7 wind turbine monitoring and reporting, 99.5% availability across global fleet and zero catastrophic failures, Simplified grid connection with Northern Power’s states-of-the-art converter technology.

“As a result, we are now in a position to supply a 100kW wind turbine, which meets the energy needs for agricultural and commercial business installations - whilst also providing valuable income for the UK Feed-in Tariff (FiT) - as well as the 60kw model which is suited to smaller sites.

Flogas Renewables’ range of wind turbines – which will be exhibiting at a number of Agricultural shows this summer – now includes 6/10/60/100kw turbines.

The Leicester based renewables company is working with a number of resellers from across the UK to facilitate installations – including Absolute Solar & Wind, based in Glasgow.
